Take one derelict plot in North London add an architect couple's vision of their ideal family home and you end up with a clever stacked house that uses every last inch of available space. The design won the couple the Royal Institute of British Architects 2013 London Building of the Year Award is that each has a wide landing which adds more usable floorspace to accommodate a desk shelving and in the Mikhail household a feeding area for Colin the dog. It also proved useful for parking a pram when Ridley the couple's son who arrived not too long after the building project was completed.
