A sunny afternoon on the River Dart and as always its waters are teeming with activity. Ferries chug to and fro across the estuary from the ancient harbour town of Dartmouth to Kingswear on the opposite side; colourful fishing boats return from a day at sea; and visiting yachts glide elegantly into port ready to weigh anchor for the night.Bobbing along too is a jaunty blue and white boat that's become a familiar sight on the river in recent times. The Picnic Boat cheerful bunting fluttering in the breeze attracts waves and toots from passing boats as it makes its way upstream to the tiny village of Dittisham.
